Saponified Gippsland grass-fed tallow with olive, coconut, rice bran and palm oils, and a shot of freshly brewed espresso stirred through.

Real coffee gives it two things: a fine grit that buffs without scratching, and the smell of a fresh pot. Cut by hand, in small batches.

What it does

Buffs away rough, flaky patches and takes strong smells off your hands — onion, garlic, fish, petrol.

Leaves skin smooth rather than squeaky. The scrub is gentle enough for daily use.

• Grass-fed tallow, from Gippsland — creamy lather, and it does not strip
• Freshly brewed espresso — the natural grit, and the scent
• Olive, coconut and rice bran oils — soften as they clean

How to use

Wet the bar and work it over damp skin in small circles where you want the scrub. Rinse well.

Stand it somewhere it can drain — a bar left sitting in water goes soft.

Questions

Is it vegan?
No. The base is grass-fed beef tallow.

Does it actually smell of coffee?
Yes, though it settles down after the first few washes. It is brewed espresso in the bar, not fragrance oil.
